Klein ISD Weather Update
Hello, sunshine! Road conditions are improving, so Klein ISD will be open Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018.

The current calendar allows for enough minutes to cover school cancellation on January 16. We are currently studying options for January 17. Stay tuned for updates in the coming days.
8th Grade Klein Cain Visit

Dear 8th Grade Parents:

On Tuesday, January 23rd, 8th grade students will be attending a field trip to Klein Cain. The trip will take place in the morning and your child will be off-campus from approximately 9:15 AM until about 11:30 AM. They will return to campus in time for lunch at Ulrich.

As we are right next door, we will be walking to Klein Cain with an escort from the Klein Police Department.  We will exit the cafeteria doors and go left to the corner of Loch Dane and Cutten Rd. and have students cross there. Once across we will go left of the green house and follow the sidewalk around to the auditorium doors. There, we plan to have presentations from Athletics, Fine Arts, CTE, and our counselors in the auditorium. Students will be dismissed from the auditorium at the conclusion of the presentations around 11:15AM.

All 8th graders will participate unless parents wish to opt out.  Since teachers will accompany the field trip as chaperones, students who do opt out will remain at Ulrich where they will be placed in a supervised classroom during regularly scheduled class periods.

If you have any questions regarding this off-campus activity, or wish to opt out, please contact Mr. Woolley at 832-375-7585.

Ulrich Intermediate School opened its doors on August 23, 2010. The school was named after the Ulrich family. The Ulrich family came to Texas in the early 1900s. Three brothers, Eric, Raymond and Herman, were born to August and Marie Ulrich. The youngest son, Herman purchased land across from the original homestead. This land was on the south side of Spring-Cypress and is now the site of present day Ulrich Intermediate. Herman married Tillie Hildebrandt and they had three children, Grace Ulrich Jones, Allen and Gladys Ulrich Krueger.
