I am very excited to kick off the 2018-2019 school year with our awesome Bulldog students! Our staff is coming back with a renewed dedication to our students and our community and are looking forward to being a part of the success to come in the year ahead.

In the spirit of getting started, here are a few important updates:

School Supplies

As we move into the 2018-2019 school year, there is no longer a prescribed school supply list for Ulrich Intermediate. In accordance with this, we will not be selling school supplies through the PTO or on our website.

Being a one to one campus, we have reached a point where these expenditures are no longer necessary, however we ask that in preparing your child for school, you supply the following;

1. Notebook paper

2. Pencils

3. Pens

4. A binder or other folder device to keep the student organized

We hope that through limiting these requests to the essentials we can expedite your back to school preparations while making sure your child is ready for the learning ahead.

All materials necessary for class will be provided either through the Chromebooks or through the classroom teacher. Textbook checkout is not necessary and will only be available through special request to the 7th grade office.


Much like textbooks, the need for lockers is no longer there. Students can carry their laptop case or backpack, and will not be issued any textbooks to keep up with this year. As such, lockers will not be assigned this year. If a special need arises, you may contact the 7th grade office for assistance. PE and athletic lockers will continue to be in use, and the policies and fees will remain unchanged.


All Ulrich new enrollments and registrations will occur over three days at our neighboring High School, Klein Cain. The dates for enrollment and registration are;

July 30th – 8am to 11am and 1pm to 4pm

July 31st – 8am to 11am and 1pm to 4pm

August 1st - 1pm to 4pm and 5pm to 8pm

There are two dates for orientation, both of which offer the same program. Neither date is grade specific, so you may attend either one. More information about orientation will be forthcoming on our website

* Wednesday, August 15th from 6:00 pm till 8:30 pm

* Thursday August 16th from 6:00 pm till 8:30 pm


Chromebooks will be checked out to each student. Last year the cost was $35.00 dollars, however we will not have the final pricing for this year until August 1st, 2018.  Payments will be made available on-line after that date, and opportunities to take care of the rental will be made at both orientation sessions. The distribution date for laptops will be announced shortly, but is expected to fall within the first three weeks of school.

Please note that laptops may not be used during lunch or on the bus. Please help us by visiting with your students on this matter before the school year starts.

New Bell Schedule

We have new start and end times for our school day. As a result, we have changed the time of our lunches. Bulldog class has also been relocated. To view our complete new bell schedule, click here.
